Need to summarize data but not sure how...

In a query result I am getting:

A 2
A 6
B 1
B 3
B 8
C 4
C 7


I need to end up with:

A 8
B 12
C 11

How do I do this? Probably very easy but I am new with Access. I'm not seeing it.

I would start with two or three columns in a Totals query. You can start by creating a new query object using the Query Builder, "Query Design". Click the Totals option from within the Ribbon at the top of your screen, sigma.

Ok. I have done what you suggested. What should I should I have in the "Total" row?

Got it! Just had to change the Total cell in the QTY column to show "Sum". Thanks for your help.
