Desktop Product Inventory Database Inquiry (How To Make Customer Returns)

    Hello,

I am very new to Microsoft Access. I downloaded a template called Desktop Product Inventory Database and I was trying it out whether I could make use of this for my business.

Anyway, I was trying to see if I can make customer returns but unfortunately, if I am right, this functionality is not available.

Can anyone help me out with this?

I'd be glad to discuss this further in details if it is ok with you. I use teamviewer on my computer and we can chat via skype(abtan32), google talk(abtan34), yahoo messenger(abtan32) or aim (abtan33).

    Feel free to add me.

    Thanks in advance!

    Bernard

Unfortunately as you have found out Templates are seldom able to suit your needs. Inventory is a beast of a project if done correctly.
You can Google for Inventory samples like Allen Brownes.

    Good Luck!

    Bernard,
    I agree with burrina
-- inventory databases are not trivial; some people have made careers out of these.
-- templates may be a start; usually quite general but rarely are they complete without customization.

Since you are new to database, I recommend that you work through this tutorial to learn some basics of database design.

Alright. Thanks for all your reply. I have no background in programming at all and I'm just an end user but I will try to learn it. Thanks again.
