    Unhappy Access Database Schema

Is it possible for me to retrieve the layout of a database or any database schema in Access program. I am new to a database in Access and looking to see if l can get an overall layout of the database structure. Anyone with clues, helpful hints of basic steps to get quick grasp of any database -- helppppp. Where do l go to see layout in access, if any?

    Thanks!

You can use the Database Documenter.

I have Access 2010 but if in design mode you click on Database Tools/Database Documenter that should get you what you need.

Thanks Dave - I found it and the relationship icon did the trick for me too. I was wondering if you can lend a helping hand in my other post (How to automatically update my Excel spreadsheet with my updated Access data). Much appreciated!

VBA for refreshing the data source is Me.Requery in Excel and Access. I am not familiar with your code, but I would imagine that all you need to do is Requery.

If you can assist me with setting up a VBA code for concurrent update that will be great. I currently just use queries in pulling the data from the database. Help please - much appreciated.

I tried attaching the sample file but don't know how to do it. If you have access to Excel Forum - I have the file attached for there. Currently the data for 2014 is up to MAY so If I include additional data generated in the month of June - I want that data to automatically get updated in my Excel spreadsheet and dynamically reflect in my subordinate reports tying to the data.

I really don't use Excel very much at all, Sorry! I'm not a believer in dual usage of Access and Excel together, so maybe someone else can assist.
