    Alphabet Labels on report

    Hi all,

First of all let me say I am a newbie to Access. I have a report for a membership database, in this report I am currently grouping alphabetically by FamilyName.I would like to add a Text label or bar if you like where each time the first letter of the FamilyName changes from a to b, b to c, etc this label also changes to indicate a seperation from A to B, B to C and so on.

Thanks in advance for any help you are able to give.

Create a group section with an expression.

    Left([FamilyName],1)
