Data Type to input data number

    Dear Access Master,
Let me introduce myself to you. I'm beginner in Access. I want to ask for one question. I want to input data number such as 0.5 in my table, but it doesn't work. I already fill field size : integer with format : Standard with Decimal : 2, but the result is always 0.00 not 0.50 as my expectation. How to define that in my table?
That's it for this time being. Thanks for your help.

    regards,
    Tio

You don't want Integer. Depending on your needs, Single, Double or Decimal.

    Thanks Mr.Paul.
It means that I can't use integer or byte. I'm afraid that if I use single, it will make my database becomes larger soon.
    Is there any advice ?
    Thanks,

I suspect the difference in database size would be insignificant. Use the data type appropriate to the needs of the application.
