upgrading Access 97 with web database to Access 2010

    Hi all,

I don't have much knowledge about access (I am a SQL developer). One of our clients has this ACCESS web based interface. Looks like the User Interface is an ACCESS interface. I want to know how I can migrate the ACCESS 97 into ACCESS 2010. Also, When I move the ACCESS 97 to ACCESS 2010 will the web interface come across as well?

    Please help.

Need more info. Access97 did not have any web specific interface that I'm aware of. There must be more to the story, or perhaps it isn't an Access based interface.

Ok, May be not 97, may be a higher version but it does have an User Interface to it. I have Access 2007 when I open it in 2007 it works, when I open the app in 2010 it opens there as well. Is there a way I can find out what version of Access it is?

It definitely is not ASP. it looks like vba code for the forms. But till this time I was thinking it was all an ACCESS provided interface. How can I show you what that is? is there a way I can upload the access database and you can see what that is? I have minimal idea about all this.

I am with Orange. Not sure what you got. Historically, Access did not offer many solutions for sharring info via HTTP.

You can remove private date, compact and repair, zip down and then upload to this thread. Use the "Go Advanced" button and then "Manage Attachments". YOu will need to Browse and then Upload. Can be a little confusing at first.

I found out that the forms were built in ACCESS. it is not a web based interface. In ACCESS on the menu=>Create=>Form. And that is how the forms were created. SO, my question is if it is possible to upgrade the ACCESS along with its forms and reports to a newer version of ACCESS? I do not know if it makes any sense, when I open it in ACCESS 2007 and 2010 it opens, but don't know if upgrading it to these versions is a different procedure
