Query not sorting correctly?

Ok so I am not sure if this is suppose to go here or the reports section. Here is the situation. I have a query that pulls from a table and presents a report on the findings. In the query I have it to where it sorts date and time ascending to create a flow of time in a log. If I look at the datasheet view of the query everything sorts fine. However when the report is generated it sorts via a different field that has no sorting in the query. Is this normal. I am attaching a picture to help clarify.

Sorting for reports needs to be set up in Grouping and Sorting on the ribbon.

I knew it was something stupid simple. I had no idea why but when I set that up earlier it defaulted to the other field. I forgot to check back there.
