Barcode scanner and software to update Access table

I would like to add a barcode to an Access Report and Word document. The scanned information (acknowledgement of information received and date information was received) will then be used to update two field in an Access table.

What specific brand of barcode reader and software have people used to accomplish this in Access 2010? I'm looking for a relatively cheap USB scanner (or wireless scanner, if available) that will populate the database.

Also, any information on placing a barcode within an Access Report would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the help.

I could have sworn I had a barcode example somewhere but I can't find it. What I would look for is a scanner that has software included that will allow you to do the printing part. Most of the examples you're going to find online are from software vendors explaining how to use their code. Sorry this isn't more help, wish I could find that darn example I made.
