Locking or protecting data cells in access forms?

Is there anyway in which I can make sure certain cells in access can not be edited but others left editable. For example I have a datasheet with names and an ID code. I would like them to be made un-editable but the cells next to them can be edited. Is this possible?

Have you played with the Locked property on the Data tab of the property sheet for each control on your form?

Oh that's how you do it, I did look in that area but missed it. This has fixed my issue. Thanks
