Conditional Formatting based on information in another field.

I have a training database and one of the concerns upper management has is to keep the information current. I was wondering if there is any kind of programming to have a field conditonaly formmated based on information found in another field.

For instance, if an employee was trained on a task starting today, he would be given a 4 and the field would be green. However, if his training has not been updated in 4 weeks, he would drop to a 3 and the field would change color, 6 weeks to another level and color and then at 8 weeks to another level and color.

Progamming in access is not my strong suit...any help would be greatly apprcieated.

    Thanks!

Something like this? (see attached dB)
    No programming necessary!!

Do you know about conditional formatting? (check help)

Open the query in design view to see the calculation.......

OK...that's pretty cool. What I do need to know is can this count down from the current date and update automatically?

The level is a calculation, so yes, it updates automagically.

The conditional formatting only has 4 levels: the default format plus 3 other formats. This will work in single form display or continuous forms display..
If you need more that 4 color codes, it will have to be done in VBA and in Single form display only.

    Questions???
