    Help making navigation form/main menu

    Hello,

I have been trying to figure out how to make a main menu that link to certain tables I have. I want the links to go to the tables/forms so that they can be edited, but I don't want the user to be able to enter design view. Any help?

I have attached an image of what I want to have below.

    Thanks!

Users should not interact with tables or queries, only forms and reports. Have code behind those buttons that open form or report.

Set db parameters to hide navigation pane, disable shortcut menus, etc. Be aware that holding the shift key while opening db can override these settings.

    Review http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ac...010341741.aspx

Publish an executable (accde) file for user interface.

Thanks for the help. I am very new to access, how do I hide the navigation pane? If you can be more detailed I would greatly appreciate it.

    In Access 2010:

File > Options > Current Database > make choices as desired

Also, F11 key will expose the navigation pane unless you disable function keys.

Again, hold down the shift key when opening db to override these settings and you will have everything available.
