    Auto Close of Front End

    Greetings all,

I'm relatively new to VBA, and don't know all the ins and outs.

I have several someones, who will open a FE just before the time to Update the BE, effectively blocking the Back-End from updating.

Q: Is there a way to program the Front-End to automatically close at 6:10 AM, and not allow anyone to open it until 7:30 AM, allowing the BE to update.

And if at all posible, tell me in Newbie, cause I'm not that good yet.

    Thanks
    Yarbz

Jeff Conrad has info on "Kick Users Off - Detect Idle Time" at http://www.accessmvp.com/JConrad/acc...e/kickoff.html

I also found this at Arvin Meyer's site

    Look for KickEmOff2K sample database

    Google "kick them out access"
