I have comboboxes in an Access 2010 application that will work fine on after instertion. After i close and re-open the application it wont work, when I type an item on list it says 'item not on the list'. What may be cause

No idea. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

This is an unbound combo box which I use to filter data on a form. This will work until I save and close the db. when i re-open the db then it gives the 'error item not in the list'. I tried decompiling and importing files into a new db. The same happens even if I create a new db

Still don't understand what you are describing. Maybe if I could observe directly I will.
