    Where to put Name prefixes

I am building my very first db from the ground up and will have a lot of questions. Thanks in advance to all that are willing to help. I hope to get to a point of paying it forward in the future, but for now I have to learn.

    So my question:

Where should I put name prefixes (Mr., Mrs etc.)?

My field name is 'Prefix' and if I chose Data Type Look up wizard I can either "I want the lookup field to get the values from another table or query." or I will type in the values that I want."

I figured out how to make both options work, but I'm not sure which one to use.

If you want to limit the Prefixes to a small list, then you will put that list in a different table and use the lookup. If you want to be able to enter any honorific you want - Seniorita, HausFrau, Darth, etc, then use the other one.
