Why is Access so stupid?

Or maybe it's me, who hates Access with a passion. Why is the following asking for 4 entries, ie: it asks for month, start, end, and Expr1?!



SELECT [File Number], FirstName, LastName, MailingAddress, City, StateOrProvince, PostalCode, Country, Birthdate, SalesPerson1, SalesPerson2, DO_NOT_MAIL, [Enter Birthday Month (1-12)] AS Expr1, [Enter Start Date (1 - 31)] AS Expr2, [Enter End Date (1-31)] AS Expr3
FROM JMC WHERE DO_NOT_MAIL=No AND Expr1=Month(Birthdate);

Why would you expect anyone to help you when you frame the title the way you did and openly admit to hating Access?
