Inventory Management and Control Basic Access Requirements/Procedure/Concept?

I am busy trying to create a database program using Access 2010 to assist my branch with the following;

1. Process new products received (Purchase)
2. Capture and process deliveries & returns of products to & from various sites.
3. Print reports based on the following below;

• Deliveries & Returns to and from various sites/customers reflecting total QTY per product delivered/returned. (Site Balance Report)
  
• Individual products and their whereabouts.
  
• Product list (per catagory) reflecting qty received, issued and on hand.

I have tried using a form with a subform for the capturing purposes, but am not sure how to do the reporting and or queries nor am I fully able to understand how to marry all the information together to achive the end result.

Taking into account I am a novice using Access and this Forum for that matter and am most definately up for a challange.
If anyone can assist me with this project I would greatly appreciate it.

Please show us a jpg of your tables and relationships. You can make a zip file and attach.
The key to database is to get your tables defined, normalized and set up relationships that match your "business'" needs before getting into Access' nitty-gritty stuff. make sure your tables match your business before getting into reports, subforms, queries....
