Access ignoring format override

I have several lines in a subreport that I am trying to format as currency. I have used Currency with 0 decimal places and did not get currency. I have also used $#,###;($#,###);;$0 and did not get currency. Is there a field in the Property sheet that I am overlooking? This report is due tomorrow-- Help!!!

My guess is that the underlying value is text, either because of the field's data type or a function that converts it along the way (Nz, Format, etc).

I don't think so-- The field I am creating is =[NORNORM2YR] where [NORNORM2YR] is defined earlier in the primary report as [NPRNORM2YR]+[OTRNORM2YR]. I am getting the correct answer, just not formatted like it is supposed to be.

The really interesting thing is that I then do calculations off the new fields and format those to percentage-- the percentages format perfectly!
