    property sheet > filter

So I am a newbie. And this is a really basic question. For Access 2010.

In a query, in the design view > property sheet > filter

If I manually put in a filter, say for date, it does not seem to work.

But if I do to the datasheet view > select the date column > create a date filter
    it will filter my results.

Even if I filter my list through the second way. Create the date filter manually.
Then go into the property page, and change the date range. It does not seem to update.

Is there something I am missing?

    thanks for any help

The filter property must be an expression, like: [CustomerID]=5673. Post what you used. Then FilterOnLoad must be set to Yes.

Why don't you just put criteria under the field in the design grid?

    Ah FilterOnLoad,
Once that was set I get correct results.
I knew it was something simple.

    thanks
