    Filter form based on other form's unbound combo box

    I'm trying to open a form to a specific record based on a combo selection in a different form. This is what i have and I get a mismatch error. Please help



    Private Sub Command245_Click()
    On Error GoTo myappraisals_Err



    DoCmd.OpenForm "performanceappraisal", acNormal, , "[ID]=" & Chr(34) & [Forms]![myappraisals]![Combo235] & Chr(34), acFormReadOnly, acNormal

    If ID has a numeric data type remove the Chr(34)'s.
