    Making and Using Customized Ribbons

I want a custom ribbon that shows the "Home" tab and only the "export" and "collect data" portion of the "External Data" tab. I created what I wanted using the "customize the ribbon" page which I am pretty sure changes the look for all Access Databases. I then exported it with the database name and it was saved with a "exported.UI" file extension.

Since I only want this custom ribbon for one database, I then went to the "current database" "ribbon and toolbar options" "ribbon name" and typed in the path and the file name with extension that I had previously exported.

When I closed and reopened the database, the ribbon had not changed. How do I get this thing to work?

    Thanks for any assistance.
