    Password Protect Access 2007 Database

I know how to add password to a database, but how can you set up the system so after maybe 3 wrong attempts of entering the password the database closes

That is something that is very different than just password protecting a file.

What you want would require VBA programming and use of encryption for the data inside the database without encrypting the entire file. To do this properly in Access is a major undertaking and not for the faint of heart.

If you're still interested, try Googling "MS Access Cryptographic API"
