Total at end of details section not report footer

I like my report to total the number of patients at the end of the detail section and not forced to the Report Footer. I also like the signature page to continue at the end of the detail section as well without being forced to a third page.

Attached is a PDF of what the doc looks like.

Put the total in the Group Footer instead on the Report Footer. You can create a group on anything. Did you put the Signature page in the Report Footer?

I tried the group footer off of different column heads and I get totals after each row instead at the end of the details section. I know I can't get the total in a detail section but I want it to appear as though I did. I do have the signature page in the report footer. It was the only way for it to appear at the end of showing the details with it being created on every page.

I'm pretty sure you can say something like Group on 1 which is nowhere and allows you to have a group and a group footer that surrounds the detail section.

In 2007 it only allows me to select what I have in the query. I haven't found anyway to create a "group, sort and total" outside the list provided.
Attached is the report in design view.

At the bottom is OnExpression. I just typed in 1 and it created a Header and footer for the =1 Group.

I did as you said and created group 1 (header and footer putting the total in the footer and the signatures, didn't work. I also tried it without the header and that also didn't work as well. I know we can do it, eventually.

When you say "it didn't work", what do you mean? What did it do?

Every record was on a new page with the signature page after it on all pages creating 32 pages instead of three.

Go to the Property Sheet for the Footer and go to the Format tab. Change the last two rows on that tab to NONE and see if that is what you are looking for.

Add the sort criteria to the query.
