Want same form with little bit of differences of a Template

I am trying to create a whole new data base and one of the Templates is almost exactly what I need. To save me tons of time how can I get the ability to add to these Templates (i.e. another tab to generate another popup form, additional reporting, etc..)

    thanks!

Open objects (table, queries, forms, reports) in Design View to modify.

What is the file extension of the db file?

Needs to be accdb or mdb.

Hold down the shift key when opening the db. This will override most optional project default settings (such as hiding the Navigation pane) if those settings have been chosen.

it says its a accdb and I tried the holding down the shift key and still will not allow me to edit the template (which was the one from Office.com) to which I could add more tabs & links and edit more reports

Do objects in the navigation pane have a world globe icon? That is a web database. Web database doesn't have Design view. Edit forms and reports in Layout view. Tables are edited in the only view available to them, Datasheet.

Do you want a web database?

Eventually after getting everything set up for this company it will be on their intranet server and they want it web based. But in the mean time I need to get this started to show them the abilities of using this type of forms. they are still in the dark ages and using pen and paper for their orders. So I am basically doing everything from scratch for this now very large company as they contracted me to. At the rate I am going this could take a year with all the data they need to make this work. this is why i was hoping to use a template for now and then work on getting it on the server once the higher ups have final approval
