    Northwinds Database Order Items Subform

    Hey All,

I am trying to recreate a similar functionality to the one that is employed in the northwinds database for new orders ("customer order form") whereby the user selects a product from the combo box, the unit price is automatically retrieved, and a new row is automatically created for additional order items. The information that I would like to know is:

    • What view type is this subform using? It looks like a datasheet view, but checking the properties, the "continuous forms" is the default view
    • What functionality allows the form the automatically create/append a new row for entering more items? Is this part of the continuous forms view?

I have the feeling that there are some very simple answers to these questions - if someone could give me a prod in the right direction it would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Both continuous and data sheet views will do that, as long as they allow new records.
