    Creating a dependent dropdown menu

    Hello everyone,

First; english is not my native language so it might be a little hard for me to describe certain things.

Anyway. I am trying to create an Access database that has "dependent dropdown menus" in it. But so far I can't get it to work.

To give you a little example of what I am making. I got a table for "Hardware" like; Desktop, Printer, Server, Switch etc. and a table for the "Manufactorer" like; HP, Asus, Canon, Cisco, etc.

The thing I want is that when you chose for Printer in the hardware table you can only select printer manufactorers and for example Cisco and Asus shouldn't pop-up because they don't have printers.

What ive done so far is create a table for the manufactorer and the hardware with in it all possible combinations. But I can't seem to get this working. If, for example I pick Laptop, it gives me all manufactorers, even those who don't sell laptops.

I hope someone here can help me with this!

If anything is not clear, just ask and Ill try to describe it better.

    Thanks, Ramon!

It is called Cascading ComboBoxes. It has been discussed all of the time so do a search here and you should turn up dozens of threads.
