Upgrade from Access 2000 to Access 2010

I currently have Windows XP and Access 2000 on my computer. I'm planning on buying a new computer with Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit operating system. Will Access 2000 be compatible with Windows 7 Professional? If not, and I have to install Access 2010 on the new computer, will I be able to open my existing databases on the new computer in the new Access 2010 software and then save it in a form my old Access 2000 software will still be able to use it on my old computer?
