alternate back color not working

I have made many reports in Access 2007, with alternate back color working fine. I created a new report, but when I set the alternate back color in the format of the property sheet, all the report lines are white. I copied a functioning alternate back color report and changed the data source to the new report's data source. The copied report only showed one line of the report with an alternate back color. Any ideas that can correct this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for assisting. In one of the similar threads posted on 3/30/2011, I found the solution.
I wanted to let you know the cause and solution I found. In design view, I had added a sort to the report, which, when more was selected to view all sort settings, it said 'with a sort header' and 'without a sort footer'. When I changed it to 'without a sort header' as well, the problem was resolved.
