Getting DB Size error when running Query. DB only 411,000 KB ! Can anyone pls help?

    Hello

I am modifying some queries in a DB which is only 411,000 KB. It still has plenty of room left before reaching 2GB. When I go through and test the queries, some run fine with no issues.
Then I get to one of the last queries and get this error:

"The query cannot be completed. Either the size of the query result is larger than the maximum size of a database (2 GB), or there is not enough temporary storage on the disk to store the query itself."

I still have about 1.5 GB of RAM available when this query is running, so it doesn't appear to be a RAM issue, and the DB still has plenty of room left to store the result set of this query. This is killing me.

I'm hoping the experts here can offer some insight on what might be causing this. Thank you in advance

Start by doing a Compact and Repair and see if you still have the issue.

A single query can easily exceed the 2 MB limit depending on how it is constructed. Can you post the SQL for the query? Maybe we'll see somethi8ng.

I also suffered with this error message. In my case it is because in the source there are some duplicates records thats why it cant able to recognize which item need to updated. Let's try if it can also help you!!
