i am using in my code IsNothing() but i receive compile error sub or function not defined.

what should i do to eliminate it.

Is Nothing has special meaning in Access. It is used with uninitialized objects.

Where did you get this code from? The parenthesis indicates that this is a function, but it is not an Access-native function, meaning that it is a user-defined function. My guess would be that you copied the code from somewhere, but didn't actually copy the function that went with it, hence the error message.
