Access 2003 Table Linking Issue.

Greetings from my side. i am linking the Access tables with another Access Database. But after exiting from Ms Access application links are not getting saved. the version of both the DB are Access 2003. Request you to please let me know the possible cause and action if any.

You are establishing links with the External Data wizard?

Many thanks June7 for your reply.Yes I am linking with external table wizard only. Let me explain it more. We have one data base called xyz.mdb and we have another abc2.1.mdb,abc2.2.mdb like that. Many tables from abc2.x.mdb are linked to xyz.mdb. all are having same name and fields as well.Other teams has created new versions of abc2.16 and abc2.17.mdb and links are not showing. Because of that tables are not getting updated when updated from Access form.

On chance the extra period in file name was issue I named a db with that convention and linked to table. Closed and reopened db. Link table still there. Sorry, no idea why yours is failing. I don't have Access 2003 available.

Are you able to link to another random database, not one of these 'team' created versions?

I have fixed it through code. There was issue in code.Thanks
