    Lightbulb Annual Leave(vacation) Relationships

    Hello!

Could anyone help me start a database that stores annual leave. I'm trying to work the leave on hours and not days (as the employees are shift workers and days are worked out in hours e.g 12 hour shifts)? I have a employee database set up which has general data of the employee. But im struggling to create the leave by hours? Anyone have any ideas for me?

    Many thanks in advance.

I have worked on a similar database. I have created a table for leave with EmployeeID as the foreign key and LeaveStart and LeaveEnd date fields. I used a field in the timesheet table to log worker's attendance - Present,Absent,On Leave or Sick. A query based on their attendance status (Present,Absent,On Leave or Sick) calculated their overtime hours and work day details.

Hope the above proves helpful to you.
