Question Access Ignores Default Image Viewer

    Hi,

I have successfully designed a form in Access 2007 which opens a full size image in my default image viewer (irfanview) with a single click on a thumbnail image.

I have now installed Access 2010, but it now opens the same images in Internet Explorer in total disregard to the Default Global Office Settings and the internal Irfanview preference settings.

I would sincerely appreciate advice on how this 'problem' may be resolved.

Thanks and kind regards to all.

    Hi,

I am able to report that the issue has been resolved.

It would appear that during the process of installing Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Picture Manager (being part of Microsoft Office Tools) hijacked certain image file types to be opened by default in its program, and after cancelling this setup option by removing all the ticks MS Access is now functioning as desired.

Thanks and kind regards to all.
