    email data collection problem

I am trying to collect updated data from field agents using email. Access 2007 will allow the creation of a new record, but I don't have the option highlighted to "only allow updates to existing data". I've looked everywhere. I've think it might be easier to find Jimmy Hoffa.
I getting reaquainted with databases after a 20 year break, so be gentle.

Thanks for any help with this.

It should be available, review http://databases.about.com/od/tutori...collection.htm

Do you want to provide db for analysis? Follow instructions at bottom of my post.

I appreciate your help with this very much. The query I'm trying to have updated is OpenOrdersByPhotoAgent I seem to be able to add new fields, but am not offered the option of updating existing ones.

Apparently queries that join tables are not able to be used for updating existing data through CollectData.

Why is PhotoAgentT related to itself in the Relationships builder?

I'm sorry that won't work. I had hoped this could really help us

I found that this morning and deleted it. I don't know how that got there.

Microsoft has eliminated CollectData from Access 2013.

Also, there were duplicates of other tables in the Relationships builder.

Thanks for your help with this. The CollectData feature looked so promising. I'm not surprised they are dropping it in 2013. It sure gave me a few more gray hairs.
Thanks again for working on this.
