Can Access do this Send out a form, have it updated in the field, and returned to her

My sister-in-law has a business that receives orders for information. She distributes these inquires to 3 employees in the field, who do the research and send it back. Has Access got the capability of sending out the request without showing all of the other employees information and then have it returned to her so her master file can be updated easily? I will be building the database for her as she has very little technical savvy.

Is it possible to make the records of the table accessible only to the person assigned to those records. We can't have one employee having access to other employees records.

I worked briefly with an Access database about 15 years ago.

    Thank you very much.

Check out the Collect Data feature on the External Data tab. (BTW, Collect Data is eliminated in Access 2013).

Restricting records requires knowing who is using the database. This means either a login procedure in the database or grabbing the username from the network. Probably need a table of user info and some field in other table(s) that identifies whose record it is. Then base the form on a query with filter criteria of user info (employeeID?) as parameter. Common topic in forum. https://www.accessforums.net/program...ame-30331.html
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
