Sub Report - data stops appearing in sub report after page 2

I have an asset data base to generate individual asset detail reports with a sub report on the same page listing similar assets from a separate query. I have set the master and child fields, one to many. This works perfectly for the first two assets (pages), however the sub report stops showing data on the third asset (page).

Very odd. Would have to examine report. If you want to provide db, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

137kb? 500kb allowed, except for Zip - 2mb zip allowed. Why is upload not working? What issue have you encountered?

I open up 'Manage Attachments', Add file, Browse, select the compressed zip file I made of the access dbase (137,932k), it appears to be trying to upload, however nothing happens and the file does not appear in the window to select to attach. I tried a small photo file and it attached just fine. I must be making a mistake in the file compress task.

137,932k = 137mb, limit is 500kb unless you zip it with Windows Compression or 7Zip or Winzip and then the limit is 2mb. If still too large for forum can upload to fileshare site such as box.com and post link to file.

Another approach is to import only the objects related to issue into another db and delete data (leave just enough records for testing) and maybe then it will be small enough.

    I opened your report.

It shows all 13 of the subform records.

    6 on page 1
    4 on page 2
    1 on page 7
    2 on page 13

The report is working correctly as designed.

It is the Assets report I am having trouble with. The item in the subreport on page 7 should be on page 3, and the 2 items on page 13 should be on page 4. How do I get them to match up correctly? (Asset '2a' with comps '2a')

It was the Assets report I opened. It displays properly for the set of data provided. I did do a test of adding some more Machine records (by copy/paste) for Item 1 for a total of 12 related Machine records for Item 1. The report displays 7 on page 1 and 5 on page 2. Page 3 was Item 2 records, and so on. The report shows all 13 Assets and all related Machine records.

Cannot replicate what you are describing.

Could you please send me the dbase you worked with? I am confused. Mine seems to want to skip 4 pages and then drops in the subreport items? Thanks!

I am using the db from your upload. I changed nothing in the report design, simply opened it.

I solved it! What I was missing was grouping. Once I created a grouped report query and added a page break in the group footer, all fell into place!

Odd that I don't see the issue you encountered. Since I wasn't experiencing it couldn't offer a solution so glad you found one.
