    Variable box size

I am trying to create a box that represents a certain amount of time in graphical form. I was thinking of making some sort of box that will change the width of it according to a field that is in either a table or query. I am trying to do it in a report but I am fine with a form if I must, but I figure if I could do it in one I could do it in the other. I was hoping to just set the width to the variable but I am unable to make that work since it says that it must be in numerical form. The range I figured each record would be within .5 to 20 but I am not sure how relative that would be. Does anyone have a suggestion that I can work with?

    thanks

    Brian

    Beamons -

Not sure if this will help but, you may be able to adapt a progress bar to fit your situation. If I remember correctly, there are examples in the code repository. Additionally, try a google search of Progress Bars.

    All the best,

    Jim

I don't need it to change or automate. I just need it to represent a specific amount of time for each record. ie. BD4221 - 2.25 days = a rectangle 2.25 inches long, BD4222 - 3.8 days = a rectangle 3.8 inches long.
