search for folder and return full path

hello everybody

I am a novice and i have tried to search the forum and the internet for 2 days and i cant seem to get it to work.

I want a code to search for a folder, by its name, which name contains a string i have, for example the folder name is aaab1234, and i have 1234, the numbers are unique so it will return only one folder, and what i want is its full path.

can anyone help me please?

And where do you want to search? The entire computer, all drives, or the shared netword server?

thanks for your response

i want to search a certain folder and its sub directories.
i have read a lot and tried to play with vba search options but my problem is that the name of the folder
is unknown, all i know that it contains ID number which is unique, and i cant find a way to search for a part of a folder name.
