    .ldb file issues

Hi guys - I've tried just about everything to get this taken care of - I am continuously having the same problem.

Everyone is out of their local copies of their front end but there is an .ldb file still in the folder which I cannot delete. I keep getting the error that it's being used by another person or program.

I can't get in to make design changes to the tables and I can't get in to do a compact and repair because of this. I have a way to boot everyone out of the database but that's not working either.

    Any ideas?

You might want to try re-booting the server it is stored on. That might release the lock.

we have been having networking issues lately - I've talked to the IT dept and they let me know that the server really only gets bounced once a month or so.....not entirely sure what to do to be honest!

Make sure all copies of access are closed. Look at the task manager and make sure there are no MSACCESS processes running. Then try and delete the ldb file. If that doesn't work or if you don't have security access to accomplish that file a report with IT they'll have to take care of it. Nothing else you can do that I know of. unless somebody else has something I'm unaware of.
