    Need Sorting Help

    I have a field called Veh ID and it is

    PDXXXX

    so then I want to sort the field

    like
    PD500
    PD501
    PD3000
    PD3003
    PD5000

    PD8007

    but it will not sort correct because I have the leading PD in the table.

    What can I do to fix it please without removing PD

    I use Officer 2007

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Create another field, in a query if you like, for sorting. Make it equal to:
    NewField:=Val(Mid([Veh ID],3))
