Help using update query to change dates

Hello,



I have a field titled "Sale Date" and need to change several of the dates to the preceding month. (ex 11/15/2012 to 10/15/2012

I have been searching here as well as Google to find a solution that i similar to this problem, but have had no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Never mind I was able to solve the problem on my own. I had the right equation I just needed to input the criteria differently.
