I want to use the macro builder!

Hi everyone,

Simple question: why, oh, why am I unable to open the macro builder through the event handling of a control. I click the "..." (or right-click the control & "build event...") and every time the VBA-coding window opens (sigh...).

No, really, why not? Is there some obscure shortcut I am not aware of (using Access 2010)?

Somewhere in Access Options is one that says something like "Always use Event Procedures". I'm on an iPad right now so no Access.

Yep, found it... and is checked

You don't want it checked. That's what telling Access you want to use VBA. Most of us set that because we want VBA, not macros.

I usually prefer VBA too, but in this case I want to try a solution using the macro-builder.
