Loading different queries in to a subform

So my goal here is to load data in to a subform and the data depends on which button is pressed. Now I have my template subform set up with a query to give it a blank template and lets say when the user presses button 1, I would want to show the data for that button. Would I run another query within the button click and then put the results in to the variables in a loop?

Why do you need to do this? Is the subform linked to main form (Master/Child links properties of subform container control)? Will the fields be the same?
