How do I sort data from within the property sheet?

Hey fellow Accessers....



I have a bit of a problem, Im trying to order data within a form in "data sheet view" by a column which is stored as a text value but is actually a number. Im trying applying a within the Order By property box

Dmax(Val([TableName].[Record])) but if I do this it doesnt set the max record at the top.

Any help is appreciated thanks
