Conflict [??] Between MS Access and Symantec Endpoint Protection [??].

    Hi!

    Windows XP.
    MS Access 2010.

At work my computer stays logged on [I lock it before I leave] every night.
Once a week - at 2 AM - a Symantec Full Scan starts running [it is scheduled] on my machine.

There wasn't a problem till a few months ago - when I started finding my machine 'frozen' when I came in the following business day in the morning.
At that point the only course of action was to hold down the power button [to shut down the computer] - and then power it up again.

Subsequently, I have tried running the Full Scan manually when I am at work . . . with mixed success. About 50% of the time - it works.
The other 50% of the time - it totally freezes up my machine.

On of the IT guys says he suspects that this may be because of a conflict between Symantec and MS Access.

Does anyone know anything about this?

    I'd appreciate any information.

    Thanks!!

I've transitioned our company to MSE, but previously we had Symantec Endpoint Protection and I don't recall ever having that problem, though I only had A2000 or 2007 on the PC's at the time. I also just lock my PC at night, because it does some automated things that happen to involve Access (automated imports from emails).

    Thanks, Paul!! Appreciate it!
Any guesses as to how we might go about figuring this out?

Not my strong suit. I'd check the event logs to see if they show anything.
