Adding a New Combobox to a form

I've been asked to add a new combobox to an existing form that will allow users to select specific products, the reason why they decided to change the free text box to a combobox, because it stopped any incorrect entries.

I placed the combobox into the form and using the wizard i have select the source table for the data to be shown on the form... but when i save the form and move onto the next record, the previous selection is shown and all other forms and it doesn't default back to a blank entry...

    What am i doing wrong?

The Combobox is Unbound. Is the purpose of the Combobox to directly populate a Field in the underlying Table? If so, you need to Bind the Combobox to the Field, by going to the Control Source for the Combobox and setting it to the Field name.

    In Form Design View
    • Right-click on the Combobox
    • Click on Properties
    • Go to the Data Tab
    • Set the Control Source Property to the Field for the Product

The problem with making anything foolproof...is that fools are so darn ingenious!
