Hi!
I am having troubles when trying to deploy updates of an .accde file to clients via GPO:
1. Everytime a user launches the .accde file, the modified date will be updated. This makes it impossible to use a command like xcopy with the /D parameter.
2. When I try to query the creation date of the file and deploy a new version only if the creation date of the source file is newer, the file will be deployed everytime because the creation date of the destination file will not change, also not if the file has been overwritten.
3. Then I gave the Package Solution Wizard a try, but also here I would have to query a custom flag that tells me which version is installed and which version would be deployed.
Is there a simple way to deploy a new .accde file only if it is "really newer", and not only modified? Or any chance to prevent the file to be modified if a user launches it (I actually would assume that from an .accde - executable file...)
How are you managing the automated deployment of updates of Access files?
Thanks in advance!
