There was a problem sending the command to the program - error

So I have put my DB on a network folder and for most people it appears to work fine, but for one user everytime she opens the file she gets the error:

"There was a problem sending the command to the program"

and the access DB will not load. Curiously though if she already has access open then she can open the DB and it seems to work fine. I have read one or two instances of something like this happening, but was wondering if the "Works if already open" datapoint meant anything to anyone, or if anybody has encountered this particular problem before. If so, did you fix it? and how...

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have a data base with multiple concurrent users?
Have you split the database? Do you have the BE on a network drive?
Does each user have their own copy of the FE on their own PC?

    see http://allenbrowne.com/ser-01.html

No, the database is not split, although I have said that I think we should, my superior is hesitant to split the database at this time, although we have already had some problems with corruption. Although I am not sure that this is causing the problem. I know that all my users have access 2007 as well, so is there still a point in making it mdb?

so the answers to the questions in short would be:

    yes
no, kinda (its all on a network drive)
no (this is what my boss wants to avoid)

Well have your Boss read about splitting Access databases. Do some googling on MS Access corruption.
    see Albert Kallal's article here
    http://www.kallal.ca/Articles/split/index.htm

Did you read the article from Allen Browne?

Good luck with your project. And no it doesn't have to to be mdb. If you are using 2007, you could use accdb.

Latest edit:: I was looking for a link re corruption and just found it. Read this one too

Check this forum post, it has solution of the error : http://superuser.com/questions/41877...to-its-program
Other than that, take required actions to resolve corruption. Take a look of this post to recover access database from corruption.
