    Using multiple users for a database

    I created a database and a form on it that i enter myself right now. I am planning on using this database on several PCs with different users. Currently I have this database on the network, but when multiple people try to access it at the same time they cannot access without saving a separate copy or just having read access.



    Anybody know a solution to this problem?

    There are any number of ways to distribute new versions of the front end to users.

    Once I split my database and put a password on my backend, I cannot open any queries, forms, or tables on the front end. When I try to open one a message pops up saying "Not a valid password." My goal is to be able to lock all queries and tables and only have the forms available on the front end (unless someone, ie. me, has the password). Is this doable without using any VBA?

    I've never added a password to a backend. See the accdr format here:

    and see if it's an alternative.
