    Crosstab Efficiency

Is it more efficient to build a crosstab from another query or to run that query as a make table then run the crosstab off the table?

Just generally speaking - if you don't HAVE to store data in a new Table [because it already exists somewhere else] then using a query is better.
You can use a query almost exactly as if it were a Table - at least for the purposes of creating a CrossTab query.

Thanks. I wasnt sure if the Crosstab would have to run the query it is using for the data before it runs the crosstab. I was thinking it would be easier for the crosstab to run off a table since there was less "process"
