    Combo box filter suddenly stopped working help!! (db attached)

    I am pretty stumped for several hours on this and need a fresh pair of eyes! (mine are red and soggy)

    Open frmFN_FilesBox. The filter on top does not work apart from when you click Business West | Purchases and Business West | Payroll.

    It used to work, really it did.

    Can you attach a mdb version. I use A2003 and I can not open later versions.

    There are no categories other than the two you mentioned in the source of the form:
    pkCategoryID fkCostCentre_ID fkCostCategory destruction_due_date
    2 2 1 2012.06.01.
    2 2 1 2012.06.01.
    2 2 1 2012.06.01.
    2 2 1 2012.06.02.
    10 2 2 2012.06.03.
    2 2 1 2012.06.04.
    2 2 1 2012.06.05.
    2 2 1
    2 2 1

    After Update macro looks up the first record that match the categoryID, so it only finds those that are present in the source, in this case 2 and 10, both belonging to Business West. If there were other categories in the source, my guess is that the filter should work fine, returning the first record of the selected category.

    Oh good God I'm so thick! - as soon as I saw 'destruction due date' there I kicked myself in the shins! I must have slapped that query in there by pure accident!!

    Ha, same thing happened again with a different combo! I think the record source changes due to changes I make in my db structure and that breaks things!!
